Together, we're raising funds to bring The HomeMore Project's, Makeshift Travelers, to Charlotte and place them directly into the hands of individuals experiencing homelessness through a community distribution event later this fall.

The Makeshift Traveler is more than a backpack.

It's a thoughtfully designed support system that provides practical resources for safety, shelter, hygiene, connection, and daily living, resources that can make a meaningful difference for someone navigating life without stable housing.

 By charging the Makeshift Traveler through the solar panel on top, users are able to charge their devices using the outlet/port on the side of the pack. This allows them to have charged devices to connect with family members, submit job applications (especially since many businesses don't even take paper resumes anymore), stay in contact with legal entities for parole or upcoming hearings, and maintain a general sense of autonomy in an ever-growing digital-centered landscape.
